1 large chicken
5 onions
1/2 cup liquid honey
1/2 cup balsamic vinegar
6 garlic cloves
few fresh rosemary springs







  1. Wash the chicken and cut.
  2. Peel and quarter onions.
  3. Mix honey, balsamic vinegar, 2 smashed garlic cloves, salt, and pepper.
  4. Place chicken parts in a heatproof dish, pour the sauce and make sure that the chicken is completely immersed. Put onion, garlic, rosemary on top. Cover with aluminum foil and put into the oven preheated to 200°C. Roast for 30-40 minutes. In the middle of roasting, uncover the chicken, pour the roasting sauce over it, cover with the aluminum foil and allow to roast for the next 20 minutes.
  5. After 40 minutes of roasting remove the aluminum foil, pour the sauce over the chicken and continue roasting for the next 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
