Numerous business and informational meetings, tasting delicacies of European poultry meat and high-level visits. Delegates of the campaign “European poultry – the power of quality” have returned from the SIAL Middle East trade fair in the United Arab Emirates.
The SIAL Middle East trade fair, organised by the food and HoReCa sector, has finished in Abu Dhabi. Importers and distributors interested in trading meat with the halal certificate received necessary information concerning European poultry. Meetings held during the trade fair were also a good opportunity to establish business relations. Additionally, delegates of the campaign “European poultry – the power of quality” met with representatives of the Polish Embassy in the United Arab Emirates.
People visiting the program’s fair stand in Abu Dhabi, including poultry importers and distributors, had an occasion to try exquisite dishes. Throughout the fair, two chefs, Artur Moroz and Piotr Prokopiuk, prepared dishes with high-quality poultry marked with the QAFP certificate (Quality Assurance for Food Products). This certificate applies to meat products of premium quality, produced under strict supervision and meeting the standards of the QAFP system, including full product traceability at each stage of production.
European poultry meat produced in the QAFP system is becoming an attractive product for the market of the United Arab Emirates. Its production is distinguished by high safety standards at each stage of production: “from stable to table”. The market of the United Arab Emirates is open for European poultry, and the size of poultry export from the European Union to the United Arab Emirates in 2017 amounted to 11,167,000 kg.
The campaign “European poultry – the power of quality” has for three years promoted poultry meat on three markets: the United Arab Emirates, Vietnam and China with Hong Kong. The SIAL Middle East trade fair was the last fair event in the framework of the three-year campaign co-financed by the European Commission.
